,,,down into 'The Cob-webbed Lands' (or 'the great junk-pile out in the woods') in about 1967 or so!
At least one of the derelict automobiles strewn about down there was an Oldsmobile so I 'went with that' and conjured up this partial portrait of a tattered and abandoned 1942 model.
( the sixties were a long time ago and I was just a timid little boy scouting about in a place where he probably shouldn't have even been and details of the actual scene escape me! I should have tried to take more photos of the area but a camera was a luxury then!)
Anyway.the 'Cob-webbed Lands',once lonesome and ghostly and at least vaguely sinister. are a landscaped and sterilized 'Industrial Park' nowadays and the junk-pile was plowed under a long time ago so I thought I'd memorialize it with one of my drawings!
(several grades of graphite pencil & some ink,slight digital enhancements.on printer paper)
